About Snacksquare

Founded in 2007, after working in wholesale residential lending, funding brokered loans, Lawrence Daun realized that mortgage brokers lacked methods for finding the best loans for their borrowers. He saw that many brokers didn't have a channel for accessing all available lenders, rather receiving quotes and submitting loans to a limited pool of lenders they had relationships with, possibly missing opportunities for lower interest rates elsewhere.

So he decided to build a place where brokers could search rates among multiple lenders, who put their best rate forward, all at once. A site coupled with ratings and feedback, brokers could see who's still funding while delivering service. At the same time lenders, alongside new guidelines and forward lending requirements, could expand their network with brokers they haven't worked with.

In a nutshell, Lawrence created SweetSubmit so borrowers could have better rates, brokers could have happy clients, and lenders could make a come back.
